There are eight reed and thatch chalets built into the riverine forest. Each chalet has large beds, simple furniture in pretty colours and en suite bathroom with flush loo, basin and shower. There's a small deck outside, shaded by the trees.
In the centre of camp there is a wide lawn and raised up deck with a small swimming pool. There are a few resident hippos in the Xugana Lagoon that help keep the grass short by grazing here each night. Because of this guests are always escorted to and from their rooms after dark.
The main dining and bar is situated on the banks of the river with open sides to allow for wonderful views. In front of the bar there's a fire with safari chairs around, perfect for sunset drinks. Meals are mostly taken outside with glossy starlings resting on chair backs, hopeful for crumbs.
Xugana focuses entirely on water activities. There are boat and mokoro trips which often stop at small islands for short walks.
A friendly and relaxed camp it is ideal to combine with a dry land camp to get a good feel for both aspects of the Okavango Delta
