Day 1London
This afternoon you will fly from London Heathrow to Johannesburg with British Airways
Arriving into Johannesburg you will have several hours to spend before checking in for your onward flight to Maun.
You will arrive in Maun around mid day where you will be met and shown you to your light aircraft. Leaving Maun you will set off into the heart of the delta to the Nxabega Concession where you will spend your first two nights at Kanana Camp. This afternoon you may like to relax at camp before an afternoon excursion out on the water.
A full day of activities in Kanana, either short drives or boat trips into the delta, enjoying game as well as a spot of birding. Relax at the lodge itself and sit by the campfire at the end of the day as the sun sets across the water.
After a morning excursions you will be transferred to the airstrip where you will take a short flight to the Moremi Game reserve where you will spend the next two nights at Camp Okuti. This afternoon you can enjoy a game drive on the reserve.
Morning and afternoon game drives are included from the lodge. It is in a national park so you cannot do night game drives and must be back at the lodge by around 18h30. The game viewing here is wonderful with all your big cats like lion, cheetah and leopard as well as plenty of antelope such as impala, zebra, giraffe and of course the mighty elephants.
After a morning drive and breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip in time for your flight to the private Shinde Concession where you will spend 2 nights at Shinde Camp. Once you have settled into camp you can enjoy an afternoon activity or perhaps spend the afternoon relaxing beside the pool.
Shinde has a superb balance of habitats and it is possible to go on game drives, boating trips into the Moremi Reserve and mokoro outings. The game is wonderful with the Shinde lion pride often seen as well as large herds of buffalo in the dry season. There are some wide open plains and small pockets of forest on the fringes of the delta channels, full of interesting wildlife to be seen.
Fly from Shinde to Kasane by light aircraft. From here its a road and boat transfer across to Zambia. You will be staying at the delightful Tongabezi Lodge on the banks of the Zambezi River, upstream from the Victoria Falls.
Day to enjoy the activities on offer at Tongabezi. Included in the price of your stay are guided trips to the Victoria Falls, trips to Livingstone`s markets and museums, game drive in Mosi-Oa-Tunya national park, morning and sunset boat cruises, guided canoe trips, fishing trips and picnic on an island in the river.
After a leisurely morning at Tongabezi you will be driven to Livingstone airport for your onward flight. Fly from Livingstone to Johannesburg and then catch your overnight flight back home.
