Day 1London

This evening you will depart London Heathrow on the overnight flight to Johannesburg.

Day 2Johannesburg - Maun - Makgadikgadi Pans

On arrival clear immigration, collect your luggage and check-in for your onward flight to Maun with Air Botswana. On arrival in Maun you will be met and shown to a light aircraft for your transfer to the Makgadikgadi Pans. Here you will spend the next 3 nights at Camp Kalahari.

Day 3Makgadikgadi Pans

This camp offers a great experience in the Kalahari. This is a fascinating time of year to visit the salt pans as the wildlife migrates back here. It is also possible to walk with the bushmen and learn about their fascinating way of life.

Day 4Makgadikgadi Pans

Another day exploring the incredible salt pans from Camp Kalahari. A favourite activity here is to visit the colony of habituated meerkats.

Day 5Makgadikgadi Pans - Central Kalahari

Today you will take a light aircraft transfer flight to the Central Kalahari. Here you will stay at Tau Pan Camp for 3 nights. This afternoon you can relax at camp or enjoy an afternoon game drive.

Day 6Central Kalahari

Today you will enjoy guided game drives from camp. The Central Kalahari game Reserve sees animals such springbok, gemsbok and wildebeest in their thousands and is quite a sight to behold. Predators abound with plentiful Lions especially the famous Kalahari black-Manel Lion, Cheetah, Leopard and Jackals. Brown Hyenas and Wild Dogs are also found in the area.

Day 7Central Kalahari

Bird life at this time of year is aplenty with the worlds heaviest flying bird - the Kori Bustard being common as well as the Black Korhaan who continuously calls during the daytime. Ostrich are seen roaming free usually in large flocks. All the Sand Grouse species identified in southern Africa live here from the Double Banded to the Namaqua which are a sight to see in the mornings, when they flock to the waterholes in their thousands, to drink and bathe in the water holes.

Day 8Central Kalahari - Kwara Concession

Today you will be flown into the Delta to the Kwara Concession where you will stay at the lovely Kwara Camp for 3 nights.

Day 9Kwara Concession

A full day of game viewing from Kwara. This is a fabulous mixed area where you can enjoy game drives, night drives and walks and water activities such as a boat safari or mokoro trip. There are excellent game populations here and the birdlife is fantastic.

Day 10Kwara Concession

Another full day of game viewing from Kwara camp. Your safari guide will take you on the morning and afternoon game viewing activities of your choice plus a night drive if you want.

Day 11Kwara Concession - Maun - Johannesburg

Today you will be flown back to Maun in time to catch the Air Botswana flight to Johannesburg. Here you will connect with the overnight flight back to London.

Day 12London

Early this morning you will arrive back at London Heathrow. Welcome home!
