In Northern Botswana the Okavango Delta, Linyanti Wetlands, Moremi Wildlife Reserve and Chobe National Park area all merge into one huge wilderness. Ecosystems blend together seamlessly and game is unfettered by boundaries.
For the sake of administration, the Botswana Land Committee has subdivided this wilderness by lines on a map into national parks and ‘concession areas’.
The national parks have lodges, camping spots and roads that may be used by the public, while the concession areas are private. Covering huge tracts of Northern Botswana and with great contrasts in landscape, guest numbers are strictly controlled.
