On This Trip
- Listen to the Botswana night
Campfires & Crocodiles explores three contrasting areas of northern Botswana: the Kwando, Nxabega and Chitabe Concessions. The Kwando Concession is a wild area, one of the best for wild dog in Botswana. A short flight takes you to the Nxabega Concession, where you’ll find deep channels, lagoons and floodplains - all carpeted with lilies and water gentians - just perfect for mokoro trips. The trip ends in the Chitabe Concession, known for leopard and large prides of lion. Stay at Sandibe Camp (which is built on an old elephant path) and enjoy exciting morning and evening game drives.
Extensions
From the Chitabe Concession fly to the Islands of Siankaba in the middle of the Zambezi River. Tucked away under wild fig trees and connected by rope bridges, the islands are peaceful and ideal for relaxing. Exploring from here you can take trips to the Victoria Falls, visit local markets and enjoy sunset boat trips on the Zambezi River.
