On This Trip
- Take an early morning game drive
This itinerary explores Botswana’s Linyanti Wetlands and the Okavango Delta. Start your trip at Duma Tau and watch lion from open 4WDs, sit in sunken hides surrounded by elephant. From here, fly to Little Vumbura in the northern reaches of the Okavango Delta, where you can view game from 4WD and mokoros. Finally, stay in a tree house at Kwetsani. Surrounded by flood plains, days are usually spent in mokoros amongst hundreds of birds and thousands of waterlilies.
Extensions
From Kwetsani fly to Jack’s Camp in the Makgadikgadi Pans for three nights. In the middle of the Kalahari, Jack’s Camp is a contrast to the Okavango Delta and a magical experience. Alternatively, as Botswana has excellent flight connections you could hop over to Mozambique for a week on the beach.
