Loango Lodge has four sister bushcamps deep within the park. All are rustic but in remote locations and ideal for a night. Each camp has simple dome tents on wooden platforms and bathrooms with bucket showers. Meals are eaten in open bomas and often accompanied by traditional music. Tassi Camp is set on an ancient beach ridge with views of savannah and forest. Akaka Camp is on the Rembo Ngowe riverbanks and ideal for kayaking and birding. St Catherine’s Beach Camp is above a deserted beach and well located for whale watching. Finally, at Evengue Lodge on an island in the Fernan Vaz Lagoon you can visit the gorilla sanctuary and nearby St Annes Mission and the Mpivie River.
