On This Trip
- Hike in the Amber Mountain National Park
- Charter a private yacht around Madagascar's northern islands
The itinerary starts at Amber Mountain, a primary rainforest full of wildlife.
Numerous walking trails weave between the dense vegetation, where huge strangler figs, quinine trees and pallisander trees all jostle for space and light.
There are seven lemur species in the park, of which two are diurnal - the crowned lemur and Sanford's brown lemur and if look carefully in the forest floor you might see the leaf-mimic chameleon which is only about 2 cm long!
After a few days of exploring Amber Mountain you will enjoy a scenic drive out to the tiny fishing village of Ankify on the north-west coast via Ankarana National Park. From here a boat trip takes you to Nosy Be for two nights where you can relax on the beach and enjoy exploring the bustling markets.
The trip ends with the ultimate luxury, a fully staffed private yacht charter. Your yacht will collect you from Nosy Be and sail around the remote islands of the Nosy Mitsio Archipelago, not accessible to other tourists. Spend the days snorkelling, swimming, relaxing on deck and enjoying fresh seafood beautifully cooked by the chef onboard.
