Madagascar
Aisha has always had a fascination with Africa; growing up on stories of her parents' years spent in Nigeria. After her first visit to the continent aged 18 Aisha returned as often as she could, combining travel with university research, and confirming her love for the continent. After graduation Aisha joined Audley and set off for Madagascar for a month to explore. Aisha has travelled all over Madagascar, hiking through Isalo National Park, listening to the indris call at dawn in Perinet and dancing with the Antandroy people in Ifotaka. Not forgetting the coast where she cycled around Ile Ste Marie, snorkelled with rays from Nosy Iranja and even found time to test some private yachts near Nosy Be. Aisha has since returned again to Madagascar again to explore this fascinating country ensuring that she is a true expert on all the different areas. Outside of work Aisha enjoys theatre, dancing, and socialising with friends.
Alex first fell in love with Africa in 2001, when she left England to spend a year working in Dar es Salaam. During this time she took the opportunity to explore Tanzania: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, camping in the Serengeti and snorkelling off Zanzibar. More recently her passion for travel has led to a job with Audley, where she has revisited Africa for several extensive research trips. She has driven herself around Kenya and indulged her love of Tanzania with many weeks on safari. Despite run-ins with grumpy lions and hours spent digging her vehicles out of the mud of the Masai Mara, Alex's enthusiasm for Africa remains undiminished, and she spends much of her spare time planning her next safari.
Before starting her degree at Oxford Brookes University, Victoria spent six months travelling through Africa which sparked her initial love for the continent. Particular highlights of the trip included snorkelling on Zanzibar's coral reefs and tracking lions in the Okavango Delta. Since joining Audley, Tor has driven herself around Namibia several times, visiting all the camps and lodges. She has climbed the dunes at Sossusvlei, kayaked with seals at Pelican Point and explored the Skeleton Coast on a fly-in safari. Tor has recently returned from visiting many of the lodges in Botswana as well as exploring Mauritius. Her most recent adventures have taken her to Madagascar, where she discovered the abundant wildlife of the eastern rainforests as well as the turquoise waters surrounding beautiful islands in the north.
