Malio Forest Camp is set in a valley surrounded by verdant rainforest covered mountains with views over the transitional forest of Andohahela National Park. The camp is within easy walking distance of the rainforest section of the park, but far from any areas accessed by other tourists. By day you can enjoy the spectacular views whilst at night, with absolutely no light pollution the stars are the best you'll see anywhere in Africa. Far from civilization the camp is incredibly peaceful.
There are six tents, set up under trees. The tents are very comfortable and have beds, simple wardrobes and en suite bathrooms with bucket showers and chemical toilets. A full camp crew looks after you and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed.
Activities from camp are made up of walks through the forests mainly inside the park, where basic trails are already in existence, the birdlife is excellent as are lemurs and reptiles.
