Places to See and Stay: Pumulani Lodge - The Southern Lakeshore and Cape Maclear

Pumulani Lodge is the newest property from Robin Pope Safaris, and their first property in Malawi.

The lodge consists of ten individually designed villas all nesteld in the hillside overlooking some fabulous views of the surrounds. The thatch grassed roofs blend into the surrounding rocks and trees and the open plan design and decking areas enable you to take full advantage of the fresh air and stunning vistas. Guests can simply relax or participate in the numerous activities available from Pumulani including snorkelling, kayaking, wake boarding, sailing, fishing and scuba diving. For those who want to keep their feet dry and would like to become acquainted with African life the lodge also offers walks into one of the local villages, where you are able to meet some of the local community.

Bird enthusiasts will find Pumulani a real treat, with an abundance of birds found on the lake shore, the beach and within the gardens, while the central dining and bar area is set high above the lake and is the ideal location to watch the magnificent African sunset, with a drink in hand.
