This itinerary combines the beautiful beaches of the untouched Quirimba Archipelago off the coast of Northern Mozambique with an intrepid safari in the Niassa Reserve on the mainland. You begin your trip with 4 nights of relaxation at the private island lodge on Medjumbe Island. Here you can relax on the beautiful beaches and enjoy diving and snorkelling trips to the surrounding coral reefs which are teaming with marine life. From here you return to the mainland for a stay in the wild Niassa Reserve at Lujenda Camp. Still largely undeveloped, the Niassa Reserve offers a true African bush experience. While this is not a Big 5 safari and game sightings are unpredictable you will however enjoy great scenery and birdlife and you are likely to see elephant who are frequent visitors to the camp.
