Places to See and Stay: Londo Lodge - Pemba

Londo Lodge is a private boutique hotel on Pemba Bay. It is situated on a low cliff amongst baobab bush, with a small sandy cove below.

There are six luxurious private villas. Inside, each is very spacious with king-sized beds, air-conditioning and indoor and outdoor bathroom. The villas have a delicate look and feel whilst combining Moroccan art blends in with traditional Maconde woodcraft. Outside each is a large shady deck which is a perfect place to relax with a drink and watch the sun set at the end of the day.

The restaurant is culinary treat of fresh grilled local fish, crayfish, crab and prawns, quality South African meat and a mixture of Asian and African dishes. To compliment wonderful dinners you will enjoy some of the best South African wines. You can enjoy private lunches on secluded beaches, a sunset dhow dinner cruise or a breakfast in the bush. There is a private beach, cliff edge swimming pool and bar as well as a library.

You can enjoy numerous activities from the lodge such as snorkelling, diving, game and fly fishing, bush walks, bird watching, mangrove river trips and sunset sailing on traditional dhows.
