Kalahari Anib Lodge is situated on a large farm about 30 kilometres outside the tiny town of Mariental. On the edge of the Kalahari the farm encompasses vegetated dunes and expansive yellow plains. There are a number of pretty walking trails around the farm which guests can undertake on their own. Should you ever get lost (which is unlikely) you simply look for the tin windmill and head for it as the lodge is underneath it!
The lodge has 36 rooms which have a private veranda opening onto the courtyard - these rooms are most suited to groups. Then, there are nine rooms for individual guests which are slightly set apart, offering views of the desert scenery. Each room has double or twin bed, simple Germanic furniture and spotless en suite bathrooms. It seems that the rooms are permanently sunny. Outside there is a pool, small green lawn and profusion of colourful and fragrant flowers. Anib is a perfect spot for relaxing, however the more active can go rambling, mountain biking or on farm and nature drives.
