Extensions

There is a degree of flexibility possible with this trip. We offer places on small, escorted tours that cover the route and leave every week, or we can put it together on an individual basis, allowing you to stay longer somewhere that interests you, or tweak the route to suit your interests.

If you are in South Africa between July and December, you might want to head down to Hermanus for a couple of days to do some whale-watching. Alternatively if you head north from Cape Town you can explore the West Coast, a less-developed version of the Garden Route. A simple option would be to spend a few more days in Cape Town – a fantastic base for exploring the wonderful surroundings as well as the city itself.
