Prince Albert Town Olive festival: 21-04-2008

A visit to South Africa this month will coincide with the Prince Albert Town and Olive Festival - an occasion celebrating the qualities of the Western Cape.
Olives, food and wine are the focus of this event that takes place during April every year.
Vintage car parades, fun runs, cycle races and visits to the Swartberg Pass are all on offer in a varied and exciting programme.
Lovers of traditional South African food, or those that have never tried it, will not be disappointed by what the Prince Albert Town and Olive Festival has to offer.
While olives are obviously on the menu, whatsonwhen.com reports that many other delicacies are on offer including potjiekos and braavileis - pot cooked dishes and meats cooked on a fire to anyone not speaking Afrikaans.
The Western Cape is bordered by both the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean and is home to Cape Town.
