Two tiger cubs born in South Africa: 08-04-2008

Two endangered tiger cubs have been born in the Laohu Valley reserve near Philippolis in the Free State, South Africa.
The South China cubs are the second litter to have been delivered by Cathay, and Li Quan, founder of Save China's Tigers, said the birth occurred on March 30th.
Cathay has accepted the cubs and no human intervention has taken place because she is rearing them.
This means the gender, body length and weight of the cubs is still unknown.
"Cathay was looking after them with great care and licked them all clean," said Ms Quan.
The other tigress on the reserve, Madonna, was due to give birth in the next few days and Ms Quan believes the news is a huge achievement for the Save China Tigers campaign.
"The birth of these South China tiger cubs means that the rewilding project in South Africa has been a great success. It has strongly refuted those critics who declared the project impossible," she said.
