On This Trip
- Cape Point & the Cape Floral Kingdom
North of Cape Town lies a region seldom visited that hides one of South Africa’s greatest natural phenomena and a trove of historic art. A trip to Namaqualand does not have to coincide with the spring flower displays as there is much to see in the region: although the flower displays are a remarkable and spectacular occurrence. Between Cape Town and Namaqualand, the Cederberg is a logical place to include in the trip to the region, not least for its dramatic landscapes and amazing rock-art.
Extensions
You could break the journey back to Cape Town by spending a few days in the Winelands. Alternatively, if you wish to continue the theme of this itinerary and see more remarkable and remote scenery, you could spend a few days at Tswalu in the Kalahari.
