In the dry season you may see elephant and impala coming down to the river. Baboons and vervet monkeys are commonly seen near to or sometimes even in the camp.
There are 20 meru-style tents raised on wooden platforms, each named after a different bird. The tents have double or twin beds and en-suite bathrooms with large hot showers. In the centre of camp there is a bar, lounge and dining room which is open on three sides and faces the river.
A recently completed cocktail deck where you can enjoy bonfires in the evening and sit and chat around the fire about your days and what you have seen.
A wonderful swimming pool is also an excellent addition to be able to take a dip on the hot afternoons in Samburu.
