Day 1London
Your flight is an late evening flight with Kenya Airways from London Heathrow direct to Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta Airport.
On arrival in Nairobi you will be greeted by our local representative and driven to the quiet Karen district of Nairobi - the drive will take around an hour depending on traffic. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to explore the sights of Nairobi or perhaps just enjoy watching the Rothschild's giraffes wandering around the lawn.
This morning you will be taken to the Wilson Aerodrome. You will fly by light aircraft to the Loisaba airstrip in Northern Kenya. A driver and vehicle from Sabuk Lodge will meet you at the airstrip and will drive you back to the lodge where you'll spend the next three nights exploring this stunning area. This afternoon, after a hearty lunch you can enjoy your first activity exploring the Sabuk Wilderness.
A walk is a lovely way to explore the scenery and if you're lucky you may spot some wildlife too - kudu are a regular sighting, and other wildlife in this area includes Grevy's zebra, klipspringer, eland and reticulated giraffe. If you are especially lucky you may be treated to a wild dog or leopard sighting, too!
On safari from Sabuk.
After breakfast you will be taken to the airstrip for your short flight to the Masai Mara. You will be met at the airstrip by a driver-guide from your camp who will game-drive you back to the camp where you can settle in, have some lunch and relax during the heat of the day. In the mid-afternoon you can go out on an afternoon game-drive to explore this wildlife-rich area of the Masai Mara.
You have the option to spend one full day game-drive to the main Masai Mara reserve, which is included in your stay here. You'll game-drive on the way there, and can explore the main reserve, perhaps visiting the Musiara marsh which is a constant source of water even in the dry season, so is a great place to look for lots of wildlife. You'll enjoy a picnic lunch at midday in a shady spot, and in the afternoon will return to the camp.
On safari from Little Governors' Camp - you can enjoy morning and afternoon game-drives when the wildlife is at its most active. There are a couple of resident prides of lion who prowl the plains not far from the camp, so you have good chances of seeing at least one pride during your stay here.
Final day on safari from Little Governors'.
This morning you will have time for one last game drive on the way to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight directly to the coast. On arrival you will be met and transferred to the Swahili Beach Hotel where you will stay for the next 5 nights.

The Forty Thieves Beach bar is a great place to enjoy a drink or a bite to eat. Set on Diani Beach it is lovely to take in the sea breeze and watch the world go by.
