Day 1London
You will fly from London Heathrow to Nairobi overnight.
On arrival in Nairobi you will be met and transferred to Wilson Aerodrome in time for your light aircraft flight up to Nanyuki at 09h15 landing at 09h50. Here you will be met and transferred to Kicheche Laikipia Camp for the next three nights. Settle into camp and this afternoon enjoy a game drive in this private conservancy. Keep an eye out for reticulated giraffe, grevy's zebra and gerenuk antelope, species only found up here in the northern areas.
On Safari from Kicheche Laikipia Camp. Enjoy game drives as well as night drives and walks. The camp is situated on a lake so the game viewing even in camp will be great.
Another day to spend exploring the wilderness of the Laikipia Plateau on guided excursions from the camp. Choose from walking, game-drives, night drives and visits to the chimpanzee sanctuary nearby.
Today you will be transferred to the airstrip at Nanyuki in time for your light aircraft flight to the Masai Mara departing at around 10h00 and landing at 11h30. You will be met here and transferred to Kicheche Mara Camp for the next three nights whilst enjoying some fabulous game viewing en route. Once you have settled in and enjoyed some lunch there is a bit of time to relax before you go on a late afternoon game-drive, exploring this wildlife-rich area.
Two game drives a day are included in your safari, these are usually early morning and late afternoon as this is when the animals are most active. During the day you return to camp to relax and perhaps enjoy an afternoon snooze before heading out again. During the migration you may even head out for a full day, your guides will chat to you during the evening before to organise your activities for the next day.
The Masai mara is big cat country so keep your eyes peeled for lion, cheetah and of course the very elusive leopard. You will be able to enjoy walks with local Masai guides on the open plains.
This morning you will be transferred to the airstrip in time for your light aircraft transfer to Ukunda at around 14h00 landing there at around 15h30. You will be met on arrival at the airport and transferred to Diani Beach and Asha Cottages for the next five nights. Enjoy a long walk on the beautiful white beaches here.
From Asha Cottages you will be able to simply relax. There is a wonderful swimming pool and from there you can simply walk directly onto the beach. There are lots of little nooks and crannies to get away and relax under the trees to read a book. When the tide is out you can even explore the reef during a walk.
Day at leisure to do as much or as little as you like!
The beach is beautiful for long walks and the owners will be able to organise anything you would like. Visit the town or enjoy snorkelling with one of the locals.
Relax by the pool with a good book and soak up the Indian Ocean sunshine.
This morning you will be transferred to Mombasa airport in time for your flight to Nairobi at 12h00 landing at 13h00. From here you will connect on to your overnight flight back to Heathrow.
