Day 1London
Today you will board your overnight flight from London to Nairobi.
On arrival you will be driven to Wilson Aerodrome where you will board a flight for Meru. When you land in Meru you will be met at the airstrip and driven to Offbeat Meru Camp where you will be staying for the next couple of days. After lunch and a siesta you my like to head out on an afternoon game drive to explore this beautiful area.
Today you have the whole day on safari to explore Meru National Park from your camp. Activities on offer include game drives, guided bush walks and sundownners.
Today you will be driven to the airstrip where you will board a flight for the Masai Mara. When you arrive in the Masai Mara you will be met at the airstrip and driven to Offbeat Mara Camp. You can enjoy a game drive along the way.
Today you have the day to explore the Masai Mara from Offbeat. Activities on offer include three game drives a day, guided bushwalks, and the option of an early morning hot air balloon ride.
Full day on safari from Offbeat Mara Camp. 3 game drives per day are included here. Often you will rise early and go out just as the early morning light is breaking over the reserve. Later, you'll return for breakfast, and have the option of either setting out on a late morning drive, or have a snooze in camp. After afternoon tea, once the day has cooled, you will head back out again to explore the park.
Today you will be driven back to the airstrip where you will board a flight to Nairobi. When you land in nairobi you will be met at the airport and taken to the Serena Hotel for the night.
After an early breakfast you will be picked up from the Serena and driven to the airport where you will board a flight for Zanzibar. On arrival in Zanzibar you will be met at the airport and driven across the island to Echo Beach. You will arrive in plenty of time for an afternoon`s relaxation on the beach, and a good night`s sleep with the sounds of the ocean echoing in your ears.
Relaxation on Zanzibar- a day to wander on the beach, explore the island or simply lie back and listen to the waves of the Indian Ocean.
Relaxation at Echo Beach Hotel. You might like to take the opportunity to head out on a dhow for the day on a "blue safari"- this trip comes highly recommended by lots of our guests on Zanzibar.
Free time on Zanzibar- you may enjoy taking a visit to the red colobus monkeys in Jozani Forest. This is a fairly short tour, and not perhaps as wild as what you see on safari, but the monkeys are quite fun to watch if you are keen on primates.
A whole day at leisure on Zanzibar- if you are keen to explore, a spice tour is an excellent way to see the interior of the island, and my favourite excursion on Zanzibar. Guests are taken through the plantations, where cardamom, vanilla, pepper and bananas all grow in the same place. It is a rare chance to see these exotic spices and fruits in their natural setting and a real must for anyone interested in food or plants.
Today sadly you must leave Echo Beach, and a driver will come to take you back to the airport for your flight to Nairobi and then on to Heathrow.
Day 14London
Land at Heathrow this morning.
