This is one of our favourite places to stay on the coast. It is a beautiful and atmospheric place to stay: the decor is stunning, the beach is glorious and the food served is divine.

Tsara Komba is a characterful little property set above an idyllic beach on Nosy Komba. Granite pathways flanked by beautiful tropical flowers lead you from the beach up to the eight thatched bungalows dotted around the hillside above the beach.
Each bungalow is very spacious and comfortable with large shady verandas, double or twin beds and en suite bathrooms with hot showers. Two of these rooms were built in 2008 and although they are the same size and style as the others they have an airy feel with open sided bathrooms, ideal for a shower under the stars. Local materials have been used in the construction of the lodge to give a truly authentic feel and great attention has been paid to every detail. Needless to say, every bungalow has a stunning sea view, and each room has its own unique interior.
Also perched on the hillside is the restaurant and bar, shaded by thatch but totally open to the breeze. The restaurant serves excellent Malagasy and French food with the emphasis on seafood. There is a good selection of wine as well as Tsara Komba's famous coconut rum punch.
The managers Cecile and Maryse are always on hand to ensure that your stay at this little hotel is a memorable one.
