Day 1London - Paris
You will leave the UK today and fly to Paris. Here you will meet your onward flight to Madagascar overnight.
On arrival in Tana you will be met at the airport and driven to your hotel where you can relax for the rest of the day before heading out for dinner in the evening.
Today you will be driven south to the small town of Antsirabe. You will have the chance to make a number of stops along the way and perhaps explore some of the little villages and meet some locals.
Today you will leave Antsirabe and continue your journey down to Ranomafana where you will spend the next couple of nights. En route you may like to stop off at Ambositra for lunch and visit the Zafimaniry wood carvings. This afternoon at Ranomafana you can relax at the lodge or enjoy some guided walks in the park.
Today you can enjoy guided walks in Ranomafana where you will have the chance to see many lemurs and look for the smaller creatures such as chameleons and frogs.
From Ranomafana you will continue south to Ambalavao where you will stop over for one night on your way to Isalo. On your way to Ambalavao you may like to stop off at the Soavita wine factory.
This morning you will have an early start and be driven down to Isalo where you will spend the next two nights. Along the way you will have the chance to stop and take some fantastic photographs. You may also like to stop off at Anja Park where you will have the chance to see some ring tailed lemurs.
A full day of guided walking in the park will allow you to explore one of Madagascar's most diverse parks. Very different to the lush tropical vegetation in the east, Isalo's attraction is its vast rolling plains broken up with mountains.
This morning you will be driven to Tulear port where you will catch a boat across to Anakao where you will spend the next couple of nights. This afternoon you can relax or explore the surrounding area.
A day to relax on the beach, potter around the hotel or take a trip out to the nearby village to see how the locals live.
Day 11Anakao - Ambola
This morning your driver will take you to Ambola. Along the way you will pass by classic spiny forest terrain which is so typical of this region. Ambola is a basic lodge but has one of the most beautiful spots in Southern Madagascar.
Day 12Ambola
There are a number of activities you can do during your time at Ambola. The main focus is the nearby Lake Tsimanampetsotsa. This is a stunning national park full of flamingos, blind fish and some of the most unusual baobabs you will see anywhere in Africa.
Day 13Ambola
Day of activities around Ambola.
Day 14Ambola - Tulear (Toliara)
Today you will retrace your steps back to Anakao and then on to Tulear where you will catch your flight up to Tana and connect on to your overnight flight to Paris.
This morning you will land in Paris and meet your flight back to the UK.
