Day 1London - Paris - Antananarivo

Your flight to Paris departs early this morning. In Paris you change planes for your flight to Antananarivo, more commonly known as Tana. You will arrive in Tana late this evening and your guide will greet you at the airport and take you to your hotel.

Day 2Antananarivo - Anjajavy Private Nature Reserve

You will be collected from your hotel early in the morning and taken to the airport for a light aircraft flight to Anjajavy. You will arrive in the morning. Settle into your chalet beside the beach. Spend the afternoon relaxing beside the pool or on the beach.

Day 3Anjajavy Private Nature Reserve

You have a day to relax or enjoy one of the many activities on offer. Every day afternoon tea is served in the gardens. You can relax in a deck chair and you often see brown lemurs and Coquerel's sifakas in the trees around the garden.

Day 4Anjajavy Private Nature Reserve

There is a lovely path leading from Anjajavy to a number of deserted coves. Organise a picnic and set off to your own private cove for a full day.

Day 5Anjajavy Private Nature Reserve

You may like to take some guided walks in the forest. These give you excellent opportunities for seeing lemurs at close quarters as well as colourful chameleons and frogs. There are some interesting caves in the forest where you can view bats.

Day 6Anjajavy Private Nature Reserve

A particularly interesting activity is the boat trip to Moramba Bay. Exploring the coastline you see huge baobab trees, fish eagles and lots of fishermen in traditional pirogues. Many of the islands are sacred and your guide will show you tombs tucked into the limestone caves. There are some beautiful spots with crystal clear water for swimming and snorkelling.

Day 7Anjajavy Private Nature Reserve

On a remote peninsular Anjajavy is flanked by several traditional fishing villages. The lodge works closely with some of the villages and you can visit them, meet the people and learn about their way of life.

Day 8Anjajavy Private Nature Reserve

A perfect way to end your trip is to enjoy a boat trip in the mangroves. At sunset this is beautiful and you can enjoy a drink and watch the bats flutter up from the caves to feed on the fruit trees in the night.

Day 9Anjajavy Private Nature Reserve - Antananarivo

You will fly back to Tana in the morning and transfer to your hotel in Tana.

Day 10Antananarivo

You have the day at leisure in Tana. This your chance to explore the capital city and buy any souvenirs before you return home. A late check out is included, as your transfer to the airport is not until late this evening.

Day 11Antananarivo - Paris

Your flight to Paris departs in the early hours of the morning. Arriving in Paris you change planes for your flight to London.
