This morning you will fly from London Heathrow to Paris in time to connect with your overnight flight to Madagascar.
On arrival in Antananrivo you will be met at the airport and transferred to a hotel nearby.
This morning you have a private transfer to the airport for your flight to Ile Saint Marie. The island of Ile Sainte Marie is very charming and easy to explore. The lodge can arrange bikes to hire, so if you are keen to explore the island this can be an ideal way of getting around.
Day 3Ile Sainte Marie
Today you may like to explore some of the stunning coast that the island has to offer. The lodge runs lots of excursions (at an additional cost) to some of the surrounding smaller islands including Ile aux Nattes, found at the southern tip of the main island. Here you can snorkel enjoying the colourful fish, walk along the white sandy beaches and visit the lighthouse which offers some great views over the entire island.
Day 4Ile Sainte Marie
During your last full day at Princesse Bora you may like to visit the nearby Pirate Cemetery or go snorkelling at Ampanhiny. Alternatively the hotel offers such a relaxing stay that you may just want to snooze or relax on the jetty with a cold drink.
From the lodge you will be driven back to the airport either by Zebu cart or vehicle where you will then check in for your flight back to Tana. You will be met at the airport and driven to the Pavillion de l'Emyrne where you can relax for the afternoon.
Day 6Antananarivo - Diego Suarez (Antsiranana) - Joffreville (Ambohitra)
Your driver will collect you from the hotel and take you back to Ivato airport. The drive takes about 45 minutes and its very scenic, passing through the different areas of the city, fields with zebu cattle in them and large craft market.
From Tana you will fly with Air Madagascar to Diego. Once you have collected your luggage make your way to the arrivals hall and you will meet your guide. From Diego you will have a 45 minute road transfer up to Joffreville. There are some great places to stop as you approach Joffreville to take photos and when you arrive you can enjoy a walk into the park or spend the day relaxing at the lodge.
Day 7Amber Mountain National Park (Montagne D'Ambre) - Joffreville (Ambohitra)
With your guide you will be transferred up to the entrance to Amber Mountain National Park. You will meet your local guide and let them know if there are particular species you would like to see whether it be the stumped tailed chameleon or pygmy kingfisher. You can enjoy a day`s hike in the park with a delicious lunch prepared by your guides.
Day 8Amber Mountain National Park (Montagne D'Ambre) - Joffreville (Ambohitra)
Today you may like to enjoy some more walking in Amber Mountain or go further afield and visit the red tsingy of Irodo. This is about a 2 & 1/4 hour drive away from Joffreville.
Today you will leave Amber Mountain and head towards Ankarana special reserve, driving through some stunning scenery along the way. Upon arrival at Ankarana, after some relaxation at your hotel you may wish to take an afternoon stroll with your guide to start to explore this very unusual but fantastic park. Visiting the dramatic limestone Tsingy, spotting lots of wildlife and then heading to explore the sacred bat caves all before dinner at your hotel.
This morning you will be able to enjoy another walk in the Ankarana before driving to the small port of Ankify. From here you will catch a boat across to Nosy Komba, where you can enjoy dinner on the beautiful terrace.
Today you can enjoy a snorkelling trip to Nosy Tanikely or relax at the lodge.
Today you may like to enjoy some guided walks on the island where you may be fortunate to see some good bird life.
Day at leisure to relax by the beach, alternatively you could hire bicycles to explore the island.
Today you can spend some of the day relaxing at the lodge. You will be transferred back to Nosy Be mid afternoon in time to catch your flight back to Tana, you then change planes for your flight to Paris.
On arrival in Paris you will connect on to your flight back to London Heathrow.
