Walking in Anjajavy Nature Reserve

During a stay at Anjajavy we highly recommend you explore the dry deciduous forest reserve. There are a number of marked trails that vary in length from an hours walk to four hours and more.

Some of the shorter trails you can explore on your own however we recommend going with a guide as you will learn a huge amount about the flora and fauna. Paths lead you to points of interest including huge baobab trees, fishing villages, tsingy, mangrove swamps, caves and more. Your guide will explain the medicinal use of plants and help you spot birds, chameleons, lemurs and more. You often find the tracks of the fosa and bushpigs in the sandy soil.
