The plateau is about 6000ft high with stunning lakes, streams and waterfalls found criss crossing the top. Giant butterflies, baboon and long crested eagle can be seen on the hillside of the plateau.
Zomba Forest Lodge is an old colonial house, set high up on the mountain giving guests wonderful views over the landscape. There are 5 en-suite rooms and in the evenings guests can relax in front of a log fire after enjoying a meal in the dining room. The main lighting is provided by a generator, with gas lamps and candles around the lodge to create a relaxing atmosphere.
Zomba Forest Lodge is set in the ideal location for those who wish to access the numerous walking and hiking trails on the plateau. The winding road to the top of the plateau offers stunning views and a great place to spend the day trout fishing or bird watching.
