Day by Day

Day 1London

Overnight flight from London to Nairobi

Day 2Nairobi - Lilongwe

On arrival you will connect onto your flight to Lilongwe. Upon arrival at Lilongwe airport you will be met and driven to Heuglins Lodge for your first night.

Day 3Lilongwe - Dedza

This morning you will drive to Dedza Pottery Lodge. The afternoon will be free for you to explore the pottery studios and to hike in the surrounding forests or on the Dedza Mountain as you choose.

Day 4Dedza - Zomba

Today you will drive for approximately 4 hours to the Zomba plateau. You will have plenty of free time over the next 2 days to explore the forest and agricultural landscape.

Day 5Zomba

Day to explore the Zomba plateau.

Day 6Zomba - Thyolo Region

Your drive from Zomba to Lujeri Tea Estate will take approximately 4 hours.

Day 7Thyolo Region

You can choose to have a guided tour today if you would like to delve further into the Thyolo region. Alternatively there is some lovely hiking around the foothills of the Mulanje mountain.

Day 8Thyolo Region - Cape Maclear

It is a 5-6 hour drive north to Lake Malawi. You will be delighted by the sights of the beautiful beaches and the atmospheric Lake Malawi.

Day 9Cape Maclear

No doubt you will embark on a program of relaxation during your stay at the lake.

Day 10Cape Maclear

A final day to enjoy Lake Malawi and perhaps take out a canoe or go snorkelling.

Day 11Cape Maclear - Lilongwe - Nairobi

You will drive the 4 hours to Lilongwe today to connect with your flight to the UK. Flight KQ 724 13:15/16:25 Lilongwe Nairobi Flight KQ 102 23:45/06:45 Nairobi London

Day 12London

Arrive back in the UK.
