Set on the east coast of Mauritius, La Palmeraie is a friendly 4 star hotel built in a Moroccan style.

There are 60 rooms above a beautiful stretch of white sandy beach. Each room is about 33m2 has its own balcony. The rooms are split into four categories: garden-view for a more affordable stay, the sea-view rooms with side views of the ocean, the beach-front rooms for an incomparable view on the turquoise lagoon of Belle Mare or the suites to really make your stay special. There are 24 interconnecting rooms which are ideal for families. All rooms are air-conditioned and have either twin or king size bed, satellite TV, minibar, private safe and ensuite bathrooms (shower) with hairdryers.

The hotel, whilst small by Mauritian standards, certainly does not lack for facilities. There are two restaurants, Le Shéhérazade which overlooks the sea and swimming pool and mixes flavours from East and West with local cuisine. Twice to three times a week, there is a Mauritian buffet inspired by the island's Chinese, Indian, Creole and European origins.

The hotel's prestige restaurant is Le Momo's - a beautiful Moroccan restaurant where people mix and eat at one of three tables that can accommodate up to 8 people each. Whilst an unusual concept for Mauritius, the restaurant is full nearly every night of the week.

The hotel has a wide range of watersports including sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and glass bottomed boats which are included in the cost of a stay and waterskiing, diving and deep sea fishing which can be arranged for an extra cost.

Finally, there is a beautiful spa which offers a variety of treatments.
