Constance's Le Prince Maurice does luxury to a higher level than all the other hotels on the island. The rooms, with their wooden trimmings and French windows out onto the gardens, are truly exquisite.

Le Prince Maurice is situated on 60 acres of private land in northeast Mauritius.

Overlooking a calm lagoon it has a pretty situation with well tended gardens and idyllic long white beaches.

The 89 suites are situated either in thatched villas around the garden or stilted villas above the water on the inlet. The deluxe suites all have their own private pool and are located right on the beach. Inside the suites are all beautiful.

They have been thoughtfully and elegantly designed and expensive materials used. There are polished wooden floors, soft cream chairs, large double beds, TV and DVD systems and large en-suite marble bathrooms. Each suite has its own private balcony or terrace.

The facilities at the Prince Maurice are extensive. There is a very large pool, beautiful spa, extensive library and wide variety of water-sports. An hourly shuttle bus takes guests to nearby golf-courses where green fees are included.

Finally, there are several excellent restaurants to choose from in the evening.
