Accommodation in Mauritius: The Residence

Architecturally, this is the most impressive hotel on the island. The spacious, beautifully built building is lovely to relax in and the airy pool bar is fantastic.

Rooms

The 135 luxuriously appointed rooms are divided into three categories and 28 suites are divided into four categories.

The rooms consist of 41 colonial garden view rooms, each 54m2 in size, 56 colonial ocean view rooms which are 56m2 and 38 colonial ocean front rooms which are 58m2. All the rooms are decorated in a colonial style and have king-sized or twin beds, air-conditioning, satellite television, DVD and CD player, mini-bar, direct dial telephone, desk and small living area. The en suite marble bathrooms have separate bathtub and shower and a walk-in dressing room. All of the rooms have a spacious private balcony, patio or terrace area.

The suites are a step up in luxury and opulence with lots of space in the bedrooms, large living areas and some of the most wonderful views in the resort. There are eight colonial garden view junior suites which are 86m2, ten colonial garden view senior suites of 106m2, two colonial ocean view suites of 164m2 and eight colonial ocean front suites of 116m2.
