Explore Gorongosa is an exciting, brand new operation in the Gorongosa National Park, offering three large, semi-permanent tents with twin or double beds.
Each are en suite, with an open air hot bucket shower, toilet and vanity stand with twin basins. Inside the sleeping area there are all the facilities you will need, with a clothes rack, suitcase stand, rugs and a shaded veranda area in front. This is camping in comfort without going over the top on luxury, perfect for an area that is so wild and remote.
With only three tents there is a strong emphasis on personalised experiences, conservation and enjoying the chance to spend time in this legendary area. Much of the experience will be concentrated on enjoying walking safaris, but you also get to learn about the national park, try mokoro activities at certain times of year, and enjoy a limited amount of night drives to see nocturnal game.
Explore Gorongosa do run a fly-camping option to get those who are keen out to different areas, but the semi-permanent camp will often be a more than sufficient introduction to this area of such breathtaking scenery and boundless wildlife potential.
