Desert Homestead
Sossusvlei & Sesriem
The Desert Homestead is a simple converted farm a short drive from Sesriem.
It is owned and managed by Andrew and Melissa, who have a long history of managing lodges in Namibia with care, warmth and incredible style. The Desert Homestead is no different.
Looking out over the desert and Naukluft Mountains are 20 pretty stone cottages with green tin roofs. The en suite bathrooms have tin basins, woven grass mats on the floor and piping hot showers. The overall feel is simple but friendly, and the lodge makes a good base from which to explore the dunes under your own steam.
Andrew and Melissa are friendly and relaxed and you feel instantly at home at their homestead. It’s a great little place and we warmly recommend it.
