Ongava Tented Camp

Etosha National Park

Small, intimate and very comfortable, the Ongava Tented Camp brings back the era of 'Hemingway' camping.

Ten tastefully decorated tents in the classic Meru style, with en suite open bathrooms and roomy verandahs overlook the floodlit waterhole, which attracts a wide variety of mammals and birds. The camp is set in mopani woodlands and striking dolomite outcrops, which support some of the finest examples of moringa, African star-chestnut, pachypodium and commiphora in Namibia. The camp is powered by solar-powered inverter systems and there are no generators or pumps running whilst guests are in camp.

Within Ongava private game reserve, one can take part in nature walks, night drives and other activities. Rhino tracking on foot is one of the most popular activities at Ongava.

Either on the reserve or in Etosha, guests also have the chance to see elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, white and black rhino and all the plains games of Namibia including springbok, oryx and hartebeest.
