Day 1London
This evening you will depart London Heathrow on the overnight flight to Johannesburg.
On landing in Johannesburg, clear immigration and collect your luggage. Proceed to check in for your onward flight to Windhoek. On your arrival in Windhoek you will be met and transferred to The Elegant Guesthouse where you will stay tonight. Later one of our representatives will come to your guesthouse and give you a full briefing from our local representatives. They will provide you with maps, directions and vouchers for your onward journey. Your hire car will also be delivered. Tonight you why not try one of Windhoek`s great restaurants.
Today your self drive adventure begins with the drive drive north to the Central Highlands. Here you will stay at the famous Okonjima Main Camp - home of the AfriCat foundation. We suggest you leave Windhoek early this morning so you can arrive at Okonjima in time for lunch and in time to enjoying the afternoon's activities (payable locally).
Today you journey continues to the eastern side of Etosha National Park. Here you will stay just outside the Von Lindequist gate for two nights at Mushara Bush Camp.
Today you can either drive back into the Park yourselves or join one of the guides from Mushara and head into the park (payable locally) - with the expert eyes of your guide it is likely you will see more than if you were travelling on your own.
You will drive onwards into the Caprivi today - the road is good quality tarmac so you should be able to make fast progress. Hakusembe has a lovely riverside location just outside Rundu and we have included for you an afternoon boat cruise.
Day 7Rundu - Popa Falls and Mahangu Game Park
Today is a relatively short drive to Ndhovu Safari Lodge, very close to the border of Botswana. This National Park is incredibly varied combining both the aridness of the Kalahari with the lushness of the Okavango.
Day 8Popa Falls and Mahangu Game Park
Today you will have the chance to go on both a river cruise and also a game drive. There are more species off birds here than any other national park in Namibia as well as a number of larger mammals
Day 9Popa Falls and Mahangu Game Park
A second day at Ndhovu Safari Lodge.
Day 10Popa Falls and Mahangu Game Park - Mudumu and Mamili National Park
Today your journey continues along the Caprivi Strip through the Bwabwata Game Park (formerly the Caprivi Game Park). As you exit the park turn south at Kongola and make your way to Mazambala Lodge. You will stay here for 3 nights.
Day 11Mudumu and Mamili National Park
From Mazambala you can book activities into Mudumu National Park. Here boat trips and nature drives area available.
Day 12Mudumu and Mamili National Park
Day at leisure at Mazambala Lodge.
Today you will leave Namibia and drive to the small town of Kasane in Botswana. Make your way to Chobe Safari Lodge where you will leave the car and be met by a representative of Waterberry Lodge. From here you will be taken to the border at Kazangula transferred across the river to Zambia and then driven to Waterberry where you will stay for the next three nights.
While you are at Waterberry there are a number of included activities. You can enjoy visits to Victoria Falls, Mosi O Tunya National Park or to local villages and craft markets. Birdwatching, fishing, picnic cruises and sundowners on the river are also available.
A final day at Waterberry Lodge.
This morning you will be transferred to Livingstone Airport in time to check-in for your flight to Johannesburg. On arrival in Johannesburg collect your luggage and proceed to check-in for your return flight to London.
Day 17London
Early this morning you will arrive back at London Heathrow.
