Itinerary Route Map - 10 Days

Our Tailor-made suggestions for this itinerary are:

  • Extend your trip with a few nights in Southern Namibia and view the dunes at Sossusvlei.
  • Before Etosha head west to Swakopmund and take a kayak trip to the seal colony at Pelican Point.
  • Stay at Okonjima at the end of your trip and view cheetah from close quarters.

  • Sit up around the Halali waterhole at night and watch big game come down to drink.
  • Hike in the Erongo Mountains to caves full of ancient Bushmen paintings.

Day by Day

Day 1London

You will fly from London to Johannesburg overnight.

Day 2Johannesburg - Windhoek - Central Highlands

In Johannesburg you will connect onto a flight to Windhoek. You`ll collect your car from the airport and drive to Erongo Wilderness Lodge where you will have two nights.

Day 3Central Highlands

Erongo is beautifully situated in the Erongo Mountains. There are some lovely self-guided walking trails, ideal for exploring under your own steam.

Day 4Central Highlands - Etosha National Park

You will drive from Erongo to Etosha where you will stay in the very centre of the park at Halali Rest Camp. Halali has a superb waterhole where you can sit and watch game throughout the evening.

Day 5Etosha National Park

You have a whole day to explore Etosha. You can follow the well marked gravel tracks to waterholes and views of the pans.

Day 6Etosha National Park

You will drive from the centre of the park to the Eastern gate where you lodge is located. Mushara Bush Camp is a lovely little lodge, ideal as a base for exploring the Eastern End of Etosha.

Day 7Etosha National Park

You have a full day to explore the park from your base at Mushara Bush Camp.

Day 8Etosha National Park - Windhoek

After breakfast you'll set off back to Windhoek, perhaps stopping on the way to barter for curios at the Okahanja craft market. You'll have a final night in Windhoek and may like to eat out at one of the many excellent restaurants.

Day 9Central Highlands - Windhoek - Johannesburg

After a morning exploring Windhoek you will head back to the airport. Leaving your car here you'll board a flight to Johannesburg and then London.

Day 10London

You will arrive back in the UK in the early morning.
