Day 1London
Fly overnight from London to Johannesburg.
Connect with your flight from Johannesburg to Windhoek. Upon arrival in Windhoek you will be met and transferred to your guest house in town. Your car will be delivered to you this afternoon.
This evening you may like to enjoy a meal in town.
Leaving Windhoek you will head south to the Naukluft Mountains - a drive of about 4 hours. I recommend you aim to get here around 3pm in time for an afternoon nature drive or scenic walk. Activities will be at an additional cost and can be paid for locally.
A full day to enjoy exploring the spectacular area. You may choose to join up with a guide and learn all about the geological rock formations or head out on foot by yourselves following the guided trails.
Today you will continue south to the Namib Desert where you will spend the next two nights. This drive will only take you 2 or 3 hours depending on how many stops you make. This afternoon you can enjoy a sundowner drive on the reserve or perhaps enjoy some horse riding.
Activities will be at an additional cost and can be paid for locally.
A full day to enjoy the wonders of the Namib Desert and its massive sand dunes. You can leisurely stroll through the shifting shapes or tackle one of the bigger dunes and try to climb it. Lunch under a shady tree will be the reward for whatever you decide to do in the Vlei.
After breakfast you will drive yourselves north to Swakopmund situated on the Atlantic coast. This afternoon you can explore the town or enjoy an activity - perhaps some quad biking through the dunes.
Today you will enjoy some kayaking with seals and dolphins off Pelican point. This cost is included within the itinerary. This is a great excursion to do and will offer you the chance to get close and personal with the mischievous creatures.
There are plenty of other excursions to enjoy as well such as a guided trip to Sandwich Harbour, Birding tours, or a living desert tour.
After a leisurely morning you will drive back to Windhoek for your overnight stop.
Early this morning you will drive yourselves to Windhoek airport in time for your flight over to Botswana. Arriving around mid day you will be met by your light aircraft pilot and shown to your plane. Today you will fly across to the private Kwara concession - this is an outstanding game area on the edge of the Okavango.
Today you will have the option of taking both a morning and afternoon activity. Normally the activities will start at around 6am - you will then return mid morning for lunch and siesta before going out again in the afternoon. Guided day and night game drives, guided walks and mokoro rides are on offer.
Day of activities on the private Kwara Concession.
Today you will fly back to Maun in time for your flight down to Johannesburg. Here you will connect with your return flight back to London Heathrow.
