Whilst seeing the Great Migration will be the undoubted highlight of your trip you should be aware that there are additional things to see and do in both Kenya and Tanzania.
To make the most of your visit why not also consider a balloon trip, surely one of the most tranquil ways to enjoy the wildlife, or perhaps a cruise on a dhow around the beautiful Lamu Archipelago.
Watamu offers some of the finest deep sea fishing in the world with a huge variety of different species close to shore. Black, blue and striped marlin, sailfish, broadbill, wahoo and yellowfin tuna are just some of the species available.
Local dhows are great for trips around Lamu Island. On this you will have the opportunity to fish and then cook your catch over a charcoal fire on the beach
It is possible to take a leisurely sunset cruise aboard a traditional dhow on the tranquil waters of Mida Creek, a large tidal estuary a few miles away from Watamu...
Watch out for the giraffe hiding in the trees, antelope on the plains and roosting birds! As the sun comes up the views are superb - one of the most beautiful sights in Africa.
This day trip begins by heading to Manda Toto reef by motor boat for some snorkelling then moving on to the beach for a fish barbeque lunch. In the afternoon the trip heads to Gordon Reef for some more snorkelling before going back to Kijani.
