Cliff Lodge
The Whale Coast, The Cape Region & Winelands
From Hermanus the road curves around Walker Bay to De Kelders, one of the best places to experience land-based whale watching, great white shark diving, magnificent fynbos and gorgeous white beaches.
Perched on the cliffs with spectacular, uninterrupted views over Walker Bay is Cliff Lodge, a stylish guesthouse with an intimate feel and very personal service from Gideon and Gill, the owners and hosts.
The five rooms are spacious, light and airy and the lodge has great facilities including a well-stocked honesty bar, splash pool with views over the bay and welcoming lounge area with extensive tea and coffee options.
The balconies and patios throughout the property are ideal for relaxing with a glass of one of the Cape's delicious wines and admiring the panoramic ocean views before you, while in season (July-Nov) you can watch the enormous humpback and southern-right whales in the bay - sometimes in the surf just below the lodge.
