Kruger National Park, Kruger & The Escarpment

Africa on Foot's sister lodge, Nthambo Tree Camp consists of five thatched chalets, on stilts overlooking grasslands that provide excellent opportunities for game viewing in the heart of the Klaserie reserve, which adjoins Kruger National Park and is South Africa's largest private game reserve.

The chalets are rustic in style but much more comfortable than one might imagine a treehouse to be and they provide a magical feeling of being enveloped by the surrounding nature.  All chalets have hot and cold showers, separate toilets, large beds and viewing terraces - a great spot for a sundowner. The camp is unfenced and elephant and buffalo have been known to rest under the stilts on which the chalets are built.

The daily programme consists of morning and afternoon game drives but Nthambo guests can also take part in the Africa on Foot game walks if they wish.
