The Whale Coast, The Cape Region & Winelands

The Marine presides over Hermanus like the grand lady she is.

Guests have been coming to this imposing building, set on the cliff edge, for over a hundred years, and everything has been done to preserve the spirit and experience of the original guests.

The overall feeling is of elegant English colonialism, with wicker furnishings in the lounge, old prints on the walls, and lovely fabrics on dark wooden furnishings in the rooms.

Those with upgraded rooms will be treated to fantastic views over Walker Bay, and in season may well see whales at the base of the cliff in front of the hotel.
