Day by Day

Day 1London

Today you will fly overnight to South Africa.

Day 2Cape Town

Upon your arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will then be transferred to your accommodation where you will be staying for the next three nights. The rest of your day is free to spend as you wish.

Day 3Cape Town

Today you can go up Table Mountain if the weather permits it. At the top you will be met by amazing views over the city and the ocean bordering South Africa. The journey up and down is very interesting and as you ascend and descend you will have stunning 360 degree views over the city.

Day 4Cape Town

You may wish to visit Robben Island today. This is a very popular excursion therefore we advise booking it in advance. The tour takes about three hours and you might like to walk around the V&A Waterfront either before or after the tour, visiting all the wonderful arts and craft shops.

Day 5Cape Town - Swellendam

Your car will be dropped at your hotel this morning in time for your drive to Swellendam in the Overberg region.

Day 6Swellendam - Oudtshoorn

After you nights rest you will drive through a breathtaking mountain pass to the Karoo and along the Route 62 to Oudtshoorn.

Day 7Oudtshoorn

You can spend today exploring the region visiting an ostrich farm and marvelling at the Cango Caves.

Day 8Oudtshoorn - Plettenberg Bay

Today you will have a short drive down to the coast to Plettenberg Bay to your guest house for the next three nights.

Day 9Plettenberg Bay

Exploring the Garden Route, perhaps taking a trip out on the ocean to look for dolphins, seals and if you're lucky, whales.

Day 10Plettenberg Bay

A day at leisure - there is so much to do in Plettenberg Bay, including a day at the Tsitsikamma Forest which offers some superb walks amongst dense forest and passing pretty waterfalls on the way.

Day 11Plettenberg Bay - Eastern Cape Game Areas

Today you have a fairly long but rewarding drive to your Eastern Cape game reserve were you can get up close and personal with Africa's big game on safari!

Day 12Eastern Cape Game Areas

A day on safari, enjoying activities in the morning and afternoon when the wildlife is most active. Choose from game-drives with knowledgeable rangers as well as walking safaris.

Day 13Eastern Cape Game Areas

All of the Big Five are present in your safari reserve - lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino. As well as these, you can search for zebra, giraffe, kudu and some fascinating birdlife. Of course what you see is very much down to luck and good timing, but that is all part of the fun of a safari.

Day 14Eastern Cape Game Areas - Port Elizabeth - Johannesburg

After a morning game drive you can make your way back to Port Elizabeth, dropping your car, for your flight via Johannesburg back to London.

Day 15London

Arrive in the UK this morning.
