Day 1London

Fly overnight to Cape Town.

Day 2Cape Town

On arrival you will be met by our representatives and given a welcome pack with hotel vouchers and information about your trip. You will be transferred into Cape Town to your guesthouse, where you can relax for the rest of the day. If you wish to go out to explore, the V&A Waterfront is a good option, with an array of shops and restaurants.

Day 3Cape Town

There is plenty to do in Cape Town, depending on your interests, including some fantastic museums. A hop-on, hop-off bus is a good way to see the main sights, and explore at your leisure.

Day 4Cape Town

A half day trip to Robben Island is highly recommended. This is where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned during apartheid and offers an interesting account of the apartheid era.

Day 5Cape Town

When the clouds have rolled off the mountain, do take a trip up Table Mountain by cablecar one morning or afternoon. The views are spectacular, and this is an experience not to be missed!

Day 6Cape Town - Franschhoek

Your hire car will be dropped off this morning and you will then set off on your drive to Franschhoek in the Winelands, a journey of a couple of hours. Settle into your accommodation and then take a stroll into this quaint town to enjoy the cafes, art galleries and restaurants.

Day 7Franschhoek

Spend your time in the Winelands either exploring the wine estates independently, or booking a guided tour.

Day 8Franschhoek

This area is steeped in history, dating back to the Huguenot refugees who moved to South Africa to escape persecution in France in the 17th Century. There is a memorial to the Huguenots in Franschhoek, as well as a small museum - well worth a visit if you are interested in history.

Day 9Franschhoek

The Winelands are known as the gourmet capital of South Africa, boasting some of the best restaurants in the country as well as small delis, charming cafes and bistros. We will be glad to recommend our favourites and prebook them for you before you arrive.

Day 10Franschhoek - Cape Town

Today you can have a leisurely drive back to Cape Town and in the early evening make your way to the airport to drop off your car. From here, fly back to London Heathrow overnight.
