Giant's Castle is a popular spot to head to in the Drakensberg Mountains, and from here you can take part in various activities that demonstrate why the region has been made a UNESCO World Heritage site. There are hikes through the spectacular mountain scenery, the chance to view 2000-year old Bushman paintings, and renowned bird-watching and trout fishing opportunities. Getting to and from Giant's Castle will normally take you through The Midlands, allowing you the chance to stop at the various craft stalls and breweries in the area.
