Mbuzi Mawe
Serengeti National Park
Mbuzi Mawe is a new camp set in the heart of the Serengeti.
Nestled amongst a cluster of rocky outcrops or kopjes, the camp consists of 16 well appointed luxury tents all with their own ensuite bathrooms and private verandas.
The tents have been decorated using African fabrics and rustic four poster beds to give an air of stylish colonial elegance with a real African feel.
Mbuzi Mawe really comes into its own when the wildebeest migration passes through this area of the Serengeti, providing an excellent base from which to view this magnificent wildlife spectacle.
The camp is named after the Swahili word for the klipspringer - a small antelope which has specially adapted hoofs to allow it to leap from rock to rock and these can often be seen around the camp.
Activities from this camp include game drives, massages, bush dinners and sundowner cocktails. Balloon flights can also be arranged.
