Day 1London
This evening you are scheduled to fly from London to Dar es Salaam overnight with BA.
On arrival in Dar es Salaam you will see the early morning hustle and bustle below you. A driver will greet you and take you to the domestic terminal. You will connect with the Coastal Air scheduled flight to the Selous Game Reserve. On arrival you will be met by a driver-guide and safari vehicle and depart on the short drive to Selous Safari Camp, game viewing en route.
This afternoon enjoy an afternoon game drive or a gentle time on the lake whilst watching the hippo and crocodiles and the amazing bird life around the water.
You will have the option of morning and afternoon boat safaris, game drives or walking safaris through the Selous Game Reserve.
A full day on safari in the Selous. Often you will go out for a game drive early in the morning, returning for lunch and a snooze in the heat of the day. Later, as it cools down and the animals become more active, you will head back out into the bush.
This morning you will leave the Selous and catch a light aircraft flight back to Dar es Salaam. From Dar es Salaam you will catch a light aircraft flight down to Ras Kutani. You will be met at the airstrip for a short boat trip down to the lodge. You will have the rest of the day free to snooze beside the Indian Ocean.
You will have the whole day to enjoy the food and relax on the beach at Ras Kutani.
You will have another peaceful day at Ras Kutani. If you are interested in local culture you might like to ask a guide to take you for a wander through the nearby villages, or to the school, which the lodge helps to support.
A day at leisure. If you feel energetic you may enjoy taking a ride along the beach at Ras Kutani. Alternatively, you can head out into the bush and explore the nearby plantations.
Today you will be flown back to Dar es Salaam for your flight home with BA. You are scheduled to arrive back in London in the late afternoon.
