    Snorkelling and diving in the Seychelles are fantastic ways to see the diverse coral reefs and marine life. The best time to snorkel with whale sharks is in August and between October and January.

    The coral reefs and drop-offs are host to an array of marine life from the big game fish marlin, sailfish and tuna to the colourful reef fish which teem in schools around the coral.

    The Seychelles is home to well over 200 species of birds that vary from residents that stay all year around, to migrants who pass through with the seasons. Bird Island, as the name suggests, is alone home to around 800,000 pairs of sooty terns.

    Lying back with a cocktail and occasionally dipping into the turquoise Indian Ocean to cool off is a wonderfully relaxing way to spend a day, or even a few!

  • Turtles

    If you visit from Oct-Jan you may be lucky enough to be joined by the Hawksbill turtles. Now critically endangered, they come ashore to dig their nests in the sand and then lay their eggs. A couple of months later (Dec-Mar)the hatchlings scuttle back into the sea during the night. The rare Green Turtle can be seen from June to September.

Accommodation in The Seychelles: Lemuria Resort

The Lemuria Resort has been beautifully designed and provides every luxury. It above a lovely set of beaches and is ideal if you want a beach holiday with all the creature comforts and more.

Activities, Sports & Relaxation

There is an 18-hole championship golf course and green fees are complimentary. Other activities at Lémuria include the following: two floodlit tennis courts, windsurfing, snorkelling, pedalos, kayaks, lasers and mountain bikes.

There are three swimming pools, floodlit tennis courts and a small gym.

Other activities that can be arranged for at an extra cost include scuba diving, deep sea fishing and water-sport lessons, golf and tennis lessons. There is a Shiseido Spa with comprehensive beauty treatments. Free facilities at the spa include sauna, Jacuzzi and steam bath.

Massage and body treatments, and hairdressing are available for an extra charge. There is a small selection of books, magazines, CD's and DVD's in the library, available for guests use and a shop offers a range of products.

Diving

Lemuria has a PADI certified dive centre at the resort. Dive courses can be arranged.
