Families
Beach front villas can accommodate families and there are lots of activities suited to children. These include special spa treatments for kids, kiddie size sun loungers at the pool, kiddie size robes, special menu's, child minders, sand castle building, swimming sessions with toys, accompanied snorkelling in the pool, card games, colouring, coconut painting, treasure hunts and more. For teenagers the resort organises group kayak trips, beach volleyball, football, play-stations and movies with popcorn
Environment & Social Responsibility
At present 60% of the staff at Maia are Seychellois. The aim is to train local people and ensure they also gain from tourism.
During construction of Maia not one plant was destroyed - the plants that were in the way were replanted elsewhere on the resort. There are over 300 species of plants on the 12 acres that are maintained by gardeners on a daily basis.
