Day 1London
Fly overnight from London Heathrow to Dubai with Emirates.
You will have a couple of hours in transit before connecting with your onward flight to Mahe arriving around 7am.
You will have several hours to wait before your flight across to Bird Island. We can either arrange a day room for you or have a drive collect you and show you some highlights of the island.
At 1330 you will check in for your domestic flight on Air Seychelles to Bird Island. You will be met at the airstrip and transferred to the lodge for the next four nights.
This afternoon, settle in on the island and enjoy a walk on the beach and relax.
Today you can simply take a book while you relax and unwind on the beach. If feeling more active you may like to enjoy some snorkelling or take a walk around the island.
Bird island is very much a nature paradise, you can enjoy walks on the islands, enjoy the beaches, snorkelling is a must with protected reefs and brilliant snorkelling, if you are bird lover, you will love it and of course you will find giant tortoises.
Day at leisure.
You will be taken to the airstrip in time for your flight aircraft flight on Air Seychelles to Mahe. Upon arrival you will check in for your short flight to Praslin. On arrival in Praslin you will be driven to L`Archipel by vehicle. L`Archipel is a beautiful property set up on a hillside at the end of a long sandy beach. There is a pool (with large frangipani tree beside it), an excellent restaurant and the rooms are luxurious. Its the perfect place to relax for a week.
You can choose between many activities on Praslin. The hotel will help you arrange snorkelling trips to nearby reefs. Whilst the coral is bleached on the Seychelles the fish life is superb. Snorkelling in the Seychelles myself I`ve seen literally hundreds of fish and a large number of turtles.
During your stay at L`Archipel you might like to hire a car and zip about the island (its very small so this usually takes a day or maximum two). You can explore the tropical rain forest, or head up to Anse Lazio to have a superb lunch at the Bonbon Plume restaurant (excellent seafood). Or, you might just like to find a beach and snooze under a palm tree.
You will no doubt wish just to relax some days. L`Archipel is well suited to this with an excellent beach, shady pool and very attentive staff.
A further suggestion for your time at L`Archipel is to take a snorkel trip to Cocos Island. The snorkelling here is excellent (I`ve done it myself). Do put on a lot of sun-cream however as the sun can be extremely burning in the Seychelles.
A further suggestion for your time at L`Archipel is to take a day trip to La Digue. This is a pretty island where there are no cars at all but you get around by ox-cart or by bicycle. You can take an organised excursion to this island or make your own way on the local ferry. There are a number of small restaurants at La Passe La Digue, or we can highly recommend the restaurant at L`Ocean - a 10 minute bike ride from the harbour. Alternatively you may like to take a bike and a picnic and head off to discover some untouched beaches.
Time relaxing or exploring Praslin. You will be met at the hotel and taken back to Praslin Airport around 1700. You will check in for your flight back to Mahe which will arrive around 1845. You will be met the other side by a driver who will transfer you to a near by restaurant where you can enjoy an evening meal before heading back to the airport for your flight home. Check in will open around 2300.
Day 13Mahe - Dubai
Fly from Mahe to Dubai and connect with your onward flight to London arriving back in the UK around 1135 on Saturday morning.
